Basewars Guide (To Be Simplified)

#1
Introduction:
Hey there, welcome to basewars. If you have never played this game mode before this will post will serve as an introduction of how to get started.
What is basewars?
Base wars is a game mode centered around building a base, raiding as well as defending from other people or factions while collecting money from your vaults and printers to level up as well as unlock gear.
More gear and perks can be unlocked by prestige, which can be done at level 10,000 (type in !prestige). Prestiging will set your level back to 0, as well as sell any items that you have placed. Don't worry! That level may seem far off now but printers scale quite quickly to make leveling not nearly as tedious as it may seem.

Building a base:
Choosing a location:

Keep in mind that this isn't a rule set, its more of a guideline, there will always be exceptions.

During a raid all props are destructible, so finding a good layout can be difficult sometimes, lets take two examples:

EVERY WINDOW HERE IS BREAKABLE, AND THEREFORE ANOTHER ENTRANCE TO YOUR BASE WHICH YOU MUST DEFEND

Try and look for buildings that have the following traits:
example house 1.jpg
1. A single entrance
There can be exceptions to this, but generally you only want one entrance that attackers will focus on, and where you can base your defense around to be most effective.
2. Windows that don't break
This can make defending easier, as you can see your attacker coming to which you can take the opportunity to kill him before he get a chance to reach your door.
3. A one way doorway:
Your trapped. The raider has made it to your door and is planting explosives. you can't get out without being shot at. having another point to leave from can be make situations like this easier to handle. a one way doorway is a part of the map that YOU can exit from, but your raider doesn't have access to.

Prop health and you:
Not all props are made equal you should always check the health a prop you are using to defend. If you don't know how, pick up a blowtorch and look at the prop. I see this a lot from new players. They pick the storefront door because of their uses in dark RP when its probably one of the worst props you can use to build:

SIDE NOTE:
Fences can be incredibly useful when defend for a number of reasons, most of all being that they cant be damaged by bullets, only by using a blowtorch or explosives such as grenades. Fences don't cause damage reduction like thin props such as the storefront do. As a result of this, they all have low health. BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY SHOULDN'T BE USED, it just means that you need to be more careful where you end up placing them. And if you do end up using them as a part of your defense, there are some things you can do to alleviate the issue of low health. First being that you have props in the way to prevent them from actually blowtorching, second being that everything in the game can be "armored" to increase its health.

Printers:

THIS WILL BE YOUR MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME. Generally buying more printers before upgrading is the way to go. Buying the vault will auto-collect money from every printer within range. to upgrade a printer you can hold E, or type /upg into chat while looking at the selected printer.
Defenses:
Not much to say here other than GET TURRETS. They can make defending incredibly easy once you figured out how to place them correctly. Teslas as well as acid towers are always good around doors as they will sap anyone trying to blowtorch your door. Freeze towers will slow all defenders and mess with their aim. Heal towers will heal both props and people so be extremely careful where you place them. keep in mind that none of your defenses are allowed to hit other people outside. Towers are the only defense currently that can be upgraded to be more effective. Mines can be incredibly hard to use due to the large activation radius they have, as well as the fact that they will damage your props and defenses when they go off. Use them with extreme caution.
Dispensers:
Paper dispenser always good to have so that your printers never run out of paper. Keep it near to your vault.
There are currently two versions of health armor and ammo dispensers. You should always aim to get the second tier, as they heal faster and raise your base health health more than the first tier does. The second tier of ammo dispenser will also give 250 of any ammo type, allowing you to stock up on ammo much quicker

Other:
Kits:
Armor kits should be used on everything once you can afford it. The Heavy armor kits which unlock at level 75 will raise the health of anything you place down by 1.5k. Capacity upgrades can double or triple the amount in which your printers can hold by themselves but aren't really needed with the addition of a vault. The only case this should be used is when you have reached the max level of a printer (25) and the vault cant collect fast enough before the printers are full.

Spawnpoints: ALWAYS GET SPAWNPOINTS, they will allow you to respawn in your own base. remember to keep them in the back so attackers won't be able to take them out.
Radars: Will allow you to see where people are around you unless they have a perk which hides them. Red for raiders and green for faction members.
Drugs: Always work making, can lower the difficultly of a raid immensely. Press E on them to make a drug, which will then pop out as a coke can in 2 mins.
Lonely? Make a faction:
Pressing F3 will cause this to pop up:

Click on a player to select who to invite to faction. Most of the buttons are self explanatory.
Starting a raid:
On the above menu, click on RAIDS and select who you want to raid. Keep in mind that factions can only raid factions and solo players can only raid solo players. Some raid tools can only be spawned during a raid such as the big bomb and c4. Always use a blowtorch when you want to take out large stacks of props and remember the blowtorch will always do more damage than guns do. You can increase the damage output by typing in /bupg to level your blowtorch up to 6 times! Keep in mind that the upgrade will reset once you die.
Extras:
TO BE ADDED AT A LATER DATE.

THANKS FOR PLAYING.
SILENT GANG OVER HERE, WHAT UP.
